Beneath the Laughter
Was unwell over the weekend so I missed my usual weekend post for all of you.
While you're now working on the surveys, here goes mine :)

Results
So the day came, and it went.
I was trying to observe your reactions and it has left me thinking.
There are 3 groups of people I want to address this post to.

Give-Yourself-A-Pat-On-The-Back-Group
Well done to all of you.
I know you have worked hard for this paper and have been consistent throughout.
Your results might/might not have reached certain expectations, but stay focused -
what you have sown, you will reap.
KEEP IT UP!

ARGH-I-Just-Can't-Do-Those-Few-Subjs-Group
Okay, so you did well in certain subjects, but failed some.
It has demoralised you though you worked for it.
It has demoralised you even more because you gave up even before the paper.
Look - you can't give up.
You can do it - start working by the chapters, or by the parts, and move it up.
In all practicality - you can't drop the subject, so you might as well make the best out of it.
Go for it.

Gosh-I-Failed-So-Many-Subjects-Or-My-Results-Dropped-Much!
Ask Yourself -
DID YOU STUDY LAST MINUTE?
OR DID YOU EVEN STUDY?

DID YOU ACTUALLY FEEL NUMB GETTING THE RESULTS?

If you were to ask me, I don't believe that you are not affected nor concerned.
You are just putting up a bold front (or rather, a boh-chup) front.
There is this tiny voice in you that says, "uh-oh...how?"

I wished so hard I can shake you and get you to wake up.
The sense of urgency...I feel more urgent about your studies than you are!

Ask yourself, how much do you want to do well? What has distracted you?

Once you start trying (HARDER), you will reap the harvest.
I am willing to run this race with you!

TO ALL

In light of the recent devastations with the cyclone and earthquakes, I hope it has shook you to truly appreciate the laughters and life you enjoy.

I hope, I truly hope - that more of you will let the voice within you (that voice that worries about your studies - that naggy, uncomfortable bug) rise stronger, to come out of you - to shake you up to strive towards your O levels.

IMPOSSIBLE is to be rewritten as I'M POSSIBLE.

Miss DC.
